Work

Technical Outreach and Research Assistant, School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology

Responsible for the fabrication of cost effective electronic sensor systems that are utilized to study different marine environments with a focus on Ala Wai Canal and coral reefs.

  • Ensure the sensors are safe to deploy they are enclosed within pressurized containers rated for depths up to 300 ft
  • Diagnose, test and repair devices that were damaged during deployment

STEM Club coach, Highlands Intermediate School

Taught members of Highland Intermediate School's science club a variety of skills ranging from soldering to public speaking

  • Mentored a robotics team representing Hawaii at an international tournament
